Madilynn update:

Well I wish I could tell you guys who have been concerned about madilynn good news but at our appointment on Tuesday Madi has somehow lost two ounces and the doctor is beginning to get more concerned. Her blood work that was completed about 3 weeks ago came back normal except for he thyroid is a little hypo active (slow) which means she should be gaining a ton of weight not losing so the doctor says it's very confusing.... We will eventually have to treat her for her under active thyroid but for now getting her to gain weight is top on the list. We are making an appointment for the food and nutrition specialist at primary children's and she should be going there within the next two months..... The only thing that keeps my hopes up is that she has or the most part stopped spitting up so now it is just figuring out why she isn't getting what she needs although she eats a ton? This has been one of the hardest things for me to deal with as a mother because I feel helpless. No matter what I do as a mom it isn't working. AHHHHH!!!! I just have to tell myself it will be okay!!!!

I'm so sorry, too. I know you are such a WONDERFUL mom, and it's hard to feel so helpless. I'm so glad she quit spitting up, maybe that will help her gain weight? She is such a sweetheart, I'm sorry that she and you have to go through this. We also will keep her and all of you in our prayers. We love you guys so so so much! If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here!!

I don't know if this will help, but my Audrey had something similar...her Dr. ended up doing an x-ray of her stomach and we found out that her whole intestines were backed up and FULL of poo.
She had been going to the bathroom everyday but it was "old poo" and since she was SO backed up she would spit everything up...and too lost quite a bit of weight.
There was just too much iron in her diet..with the rice cereal and formula.
I don't know if that helps any, but it is scary not to know what's going on.

Oh Esther... i'm so sorry.. there is nothing worse than a sick baby
I have been thinking about you and the baby lately. I'm also hoping that her not spitting up so often will help her gain. But hang in there, it will all work out somehow. We really need to get together soon ..
Take care Lindsey

What a night mare, your family has had!!! I can't imagine having a baby, so sick, for so long. I'm sure glad she finally came out of that one. I understand that she's doing much better, now, in April. I may be slow, but I finally made it, to the blogs. And I love them!!! Take care and keep up the good work.
